1 John 2:6 BSB
Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.
If we say we are Christians then we have to act like it. There is nothing worse that someone who proclaims their Christianity but their outward actions are unrighteous. Indian philosopher Bara Dada once said “Jesus is ideal and wonderful, but you Christians, you are not like him.” How we act is an advertisement to the entire world as to what a Christian really is. Jesus is being judged by how each and every one of us act (all the time). We need to ask ourselves every day ‘How do my actions show Jesus to the world?’ Does he seem indifferent? Does he seem angry or hateful? Does he seem loving? Does he seem merciful? Most of the people I know who will not set foot in a church feel that way because of how ‘Christians’ treated them. Jesus loved everyone and treated them with respect and kindness. That is what the world needs to see in each of us; the love, the kindness and the respect. Live like Jesus; love like Jesus; and let the world see Him in you.
Prayer:
Blessed Jesus, help me to be a person who others can look at and see You and let them come to know You through me. Amen.
