Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
God sent Jesus to die for us; we have victory in Him. We have salvation and eternal life. What have we to fear? Think of all the things Paul went through to be an apostle. He never shows fear, not through prison, and beatings, and shipwreck, and snake bite, and more beatings and prison and eventually death. God has made him fearless and faith gives him courage. He will do the same for us if we ask Him to and if we trust in Him alone. If we truly have victory in Christ (and I believe we do) then the battle is already over; we win! We can conquer anything for Him. We can accomplish anything with Him. “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!”
Holy Triune God, thank you for all you have done for me. Lead me to do your will without fear and with the full confidence that you are with me all the way. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen
