Psalm 103:1-5 HCS
My soul, praise •Yahweh, and all that is within me, praise His holy name.
My soul, praise the LORD, and do not forget all His benefits. He forgives all your sin; He heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the •Pit; He crowns you with faithful love and compassion. He satisfies you with goodness; your youth is renewed like the eagle.
We don’t just need to share the love, compassion, forgiveness, healing and renewal of God; like the Psalmist we need to thank Him for it every day. I think I have said this before but we don’t thank Him nearly as often as we should. People tend to take for granted the good things and only focus on the bad; but we all should make a list of all the wonderful, helpful, sustaining things that God has granted us in our lives and give Him the praise and thanks He deserves. Tell Him in your prayers how wonderful He has been to you. Proclaim it in church and tell others about it. Our sins are forgiven; our hearts and souls are healed; we have eternal life; and all we have came from Him and Him alone. Show your gratitude by passing on His love and thank Him every single day for His love and compassion for you.
Prayer:
Yahweh, you are my everything. Thank you for all you have done for me and for all the things you will do for me. In you alone is my life and salvation. Amen.
