Lenten Devotional Day 9
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22
That is an amazing feeling, no longer being a stranger to God. This passage in Ephesians gives us a true home to rest our spirits in. This home that was built gives a home built on the cornerstone of Jesus and the foundation of his apostles and of prophets.
God has adopted you and looks to bring you into this dwelling with his holy spirit, are you ready to enter through the door?
Prayer
Almighty Father, I am so grateful for you letting me into your family. No longer a stranger to you, and offered shelter in the house built upon the cornerstone, Jesus. You bless me every day by allowing me to be a part of your family. Thank you, in Christ’s name I pray, Amen.
