r friends to the west in the Waverly area desperately need our help. Recent flooding has devastated their community, washing away not only their homes but also loved ones and yes, even children. We want to reach out and let them know they are loved and they matter to God. Please search your hearts and consider serving those suffering in Waverly and Humphreys County.

The Cumberland River District has organized 3 different drop-off sites with a deadline of September 13 for all donations. Hendersonville First is serving as a UMCOR Donation Site. Items can be dropped off M-F, from 7:30 - 4 pm, and Sunday from 8 am - 12 pm, at the church. A U-haul truck will be parked in the church parking lot for donations. See online for acceptable donations...
Later Good Shepherd will be organizing clean-up crews to visit and assist in any way we can. At first, only those who are ERT ( Emergency Response Team) trained will go in.
