It’s hard to take this verse from 1 Peter and live out the word. We as humans do not like situations when we give up control, especially in times of stress. But that is exactly what is needed when we find ourselves drowning in the anxiety.
Taking the time to pray and release the anxiety, giving it over to God can provide you with another tool to getting past the valleys of stress.
Lord, You are the rock, Creator of all the universe. I know that You care about me and my physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Please provide me with the strength to give over to You the anxiety that I’ve been carrying. I know without You I will struggle, but with You I am where I am, where I will go, and where I will belong. Please gift me the Peace of mind and presence of your spirit in my life. In Christ’s Name I pray, Amen.
