Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2
One of the best offerings you can give to God is yourself. He seeks to not only have a relationship with you, but to use you to exercise His Will here on earth. Our willingness to do that is outlined here in Romans. To some the cost is too great, giving up yourself to the service of God. Remember though we are called to live a life like Jesus, who truly gave Himself up to cover our sins.
Lord, I give myself up as an offering to you. I commit myself to living a life according to what You see as good and pleasing. Further I understand that I won’t ever know what Your will is in my life, but I know that it is perfect for me. Help guide me along the way and show me the light of the path to walk. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray. Amen.
