“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:36-40
Love is it. Christ summarizes the the law all Christians are to be faithful to, “Love the Lord God with all your hear and with all your soul and with all your mind.” and “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Jesus teaches us that through this love is how we can honor God and how we can live a sin-free life.
How can you show love to others this year? As we enter an election year, how do you engage with others that hold a different opinion as you, do you rebuke and judge them or do you show them respect and love as another child of Christ?
