Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. - Isaiah 26:4
Humans are fickle. We build our houses in places we know aren’t safe. We do it because we’re enticed by the beauty of the land, only to regret our decision when a natural disaster hits. We do the same with our faith.
Isaiah tells us to “Trust in the Lord always…”, but we know that this implicit trust is hard to give to someone blindly. Think of this like jumping into a pitch black hole without knowing what is actually going to happen at the bottom. Isaiah though also gives us the piece in this same verse as to why to Trust the Lord, “…the Lord God is the eternal Rock”. Trusting in God is trusting in the Rock that He is. A foundation strong and steady to build your home and your life on.
