Deeply Rooted; Strongly Built

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
- Colossians 2:6-7

Farmers have a lot to consider when it comes to the soil that they plant their crops in. Soil fertility, water, nutrients in the soil, crop rotation, crop tillage, sun, etc. All of these factors come into play when a farmer sets to plant his crops at the beginning of a season and can make or break a farmer depending on their choice. When we root ourselves in Jesus, we give ourselves all of those things and much more.

Fruits of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23

We need to look no further then the fruits of the spirit, to determine what nutrients our “Jesus Soil” needs for us. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, these fruits build our soil to be fertile.
