Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
Oh, and on the subject of time, we also need to look at how much time, or how little time, we are spending with God in prayer. You cannot keep any relationship intact without communication, two-way communication.
Prayer is a conversation with God. A good place to start with that is morning, noon and night. Start the day with a few minutes of quiet time with the Lord, thank him for waking you up today if nothing else. Stop at lunch and talk to him again, asking him to keep you centered. Then at the end of the day have a nice long talk with your best friend (God) about your day, what you did right, what you did wrong, how you are thankful for his help. And don’t forget to spend a bit of time listening for him to answer, the conversation needs to go both ways. Have a good conversation today, with the one who loves you most.
Blessed Jesus, I love you. thank you for being with me all day long, every day. Be with me always and lead me to do your will. Amen.
