Romans 12:1-2 BSB
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
We are to offer ourselves as holy sacrifices, in the spiritual worship of our God. Think about that for a moment. If we are holy sacrifices, can we be unholy in our spare time? No, if we are living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, we need to try to be that way all the time. Yes, the world will try very hard to stop us from that, but we cannot stop trying. We must get to a point where we live the Word of God; a time when we do God’s will without argument or hesitation; to be at a place where we are the hands, feet, and love of Christ Jesus. Time, in this world, is fleeting. We need to make the best of it for God, so that we can go on to the place where there is no time, only God.
Prayer:
Holy God, help me to live my life for you; to do your will and walk the paths of righteousness. Help me Lord, I cannot do it alone, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.
