There is no standard to finding the right group, but we want you to feel like you BELONG here at Good Shepherd. All of our groups are focused on a wide variety of ministry areas, age groups, genders, interests, meeting times and frequencies, and much more to offer you a place where you can feel the most comfortable.
We have broken our groups down into four different types of groups:
Affinity Groups
Affinity groups, or A Groups, are groups that are geared towards service and/or fellowship. There is no set number of people or gender for these groups. Disciple Making Groups
Disciple Making groups, B Groups, Bands, or as we focus on them true small groups consist of 3-4 people of the same gender. These groups are structured to be very similar to the ideal model, the group of Jesus, John, James, and Peter. Classes
Classes, or C Groups, are things such as Sunday morning Bible School classes, Wednesday night GROW classes, home churches, and many of our other offerings. These groups have no limit on size or gender (though we do have a few more gender specific classes). Classes are focused on the study of the bible and it’s teachings. Discipleship Groups
Discipleship Groups, or D Groups are groups that consist of 10-12 people and are typically mixed gender. These are focused on the traditional Wesleyan class meeting, involving a group that gathered on a weekly basis to discuss the struggles that they are having during their pursuit of holiness.
