In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
Ephesians 1:7-10
What a wonderful thought, “with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us”. God has redeemed us through His own blood, offering us forgiveness for OUR sins. Think of the altruistic sacrifice that was made for us right there. We don’t always show the appreciation for the treatment we received through Christ, nor can we ever imagine the enormity of the gift. Think about what His will is here, ” to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ“.
Lord, Thank you for the riches you have lavished on my life. I know that everything I’m graced with here on Earth is by Your Grace. Thank you for the forgiveness you have given me for the sins I’ve committed. I know that without your grace in my life I would not have anything I do now. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
