Senior Pastor - Rev. Regina Hall
I am a native born Tennessean and a life-long United Methodist. While I was reared in East Tennessee, I have been in the Middle TN area for over 35 years. I taught in the Metro Nashville Public School for 18 years answering my first calling before answering a second call to fulltime ministry in 2000. I have served churches of all sizes in the TN Conference (Now TN Western Ky Conference) in varying contexts including county seat, rural, small town and suburban. I have a passion for sharing the love of Christ to all people by meeting them where they are on their faith journey or introducing them to Christ by demonstrating this love and leading by example. I have a heart for children and youth and believe that age is not an obstacle for being a vital and important part of a faith community. The more senior among us, despite their longevity, still have much to offer by lending their experience and expertise to the generations that follow. The rest of us in between have much to learn from both extremes life's spectrum.
I am an avid sports junky watching anything sports related but enjoy SEC football, basketball and baseball as well as football and baseball at the professional level. In reality, there are not many sports I do not enjoy. Therefore, I lead from a team approach. Everyone has something to contribute in order to get a task accomplished. I enjoy reading, puzzles and spoiling my dogs Biscuit and Boomer in my spare time.
My family and friends are an important part of my life. My mother lives in Alabama but is a Tennessee girl through and through. My father is deceased. My sister and I were blessed to be reared in a loving, Christian home and learned countless lessons that enable us to be leaders in our professions, community and the lives of those we encounter. My sister and brother-in-law reside in Franklin. We enjoy spending time together and welcome friends as family.
I am a life-long learner. I attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN after graduating from Powell, High School in Powell, TN, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education from this institution. I furthered my education at Middle TN State University, receiving a Master of Science degree. My Master of Divinity is from Memphis Theological Seminary. There is no one who cannot learn something new to enhance their knowledge base. I enjoy challenges and opportunities to learn new skills and information. I am excited and looking forward to becoming the Pastor of Good Shepherd UMC and leading the team into the unique opportunities that await the United Methodist Church, our newly formed Annual Conference and Good Shepherd UMC.
Blessings,
Reverend Regina Hall
