John and I searched several years for a church where our Catholic-Baptist family could call home. We found our home at Good Shepherd because of its welcoming spirit and incredible Children’s program. We have always been very private about our finances and giving activity. We understand, however, the need for planning and budgeting, especially when undertaking a campaign such as IMAGINE. We are prayerful and faithful in our giving, and we feel God has blessed our efforts. We are supporting this campaign as we believe God is leading us to do so.
Like many in our church, we were not a part of the decisions and activities that led to the debt on our books. We could choose to believe that it is not our problem to solve, but we do not view the debt as a decision of the past. We see it rather as an opportunity for this church to fulfill its mission in completeness.
We feel a strong sense of commitment to this campaign because of our love for the church. We believe it is not only our obligation as members who enjoy these wonderful facilities, but also a great privilege to be a part of God’s plan for Good Shepherd’s future.
