Tomorrow is Gratefulness Sunday…What does it mean to be grateful? Are we thankful when we are grateful? don’t forget to bring your covenant cards!

It is hard to believe it has almost been a week since we all gathered last Sunday night, revealed our Shepherd(s) Servant of the Year and celebrated our volunteer servants at our Charge Conference. Thanks to everyone who serves in some way at Good Shepherd.

And thanks for all your prayers this week for my dad. I have pretty much been present with him every day since his surgery and before so I don’t have much else to say but I am exhausted but thankful for all the support. And he is recovering slowly but surely. It is still a long road ahead for him and us.

And if you didn’t remember to bring your Covenant cards this past Sunday please don’t forget you bring your Covenant Cards back tomorrow! So far we have 30 families who turned cards in out of over 100 families in our community. That is a great start but not a good finish..so let’s finish strong 🙂

Our 5 Covenants are an important part of showing our gratefulness to God. And that is what we are talking  about this week. Gratefulness. We think about being grateful for a week when we are about to be thankful and stuffed with turkey surrounded by family and/or friends. They seem to be the same or do they complement each other and go hand in hand? Or have you ever thought that there is a difference between gratitude and thanksgiving?  There are many scriptures that mention gratefulness and thankfulness. It is hard to tell them apart but there is a crucial difference between them.

So what is the difference between Gratefulness and Thankfulness? Find out tomorrow before you eat some turkey.  Join us for Grate(FULL)ness.

And we are coming to a close on the Celebration of our Staff. You have been amazing and the last staff we want to celebrate are some folks you may think are not our staff but they really are. They are our Little Lambs Leadership Team, Brittany May, Director, Terry King, Assistant Director, and Jessica Waggoner, Financial Coordinator. Here are their favorite things!

And here is all the staff if you haven’t had a chance time is running out… click on their names to see all our staff.

P.S.Keep all the people in your previous email in your prayers
