Join us each Wednesday starting August 16th for our Wednesday Night Grow discipleship opportunities. We begin each Wednesday with dinner at 5:30pm in our Fellowship Hall and start classes for all ages at 6:30pm. Find below a list of all classes. Nursery is also available.
Come and Join us while we discuss who we are as a denomination, what it means to be a United Methodist – Then and Now, and why we do things the way we do them. We will touch on our heritage and Wesleyan theology. This class will be discussion and question based and focus on the interests of the group as it pertains to being a United Methodist.
Picking up where we left off in the Fall, our WNG group will be watching and diving deep into Season 3 of The Chosen. We’ll meet the rest of the disciples and spend some time getting to know them better. We’ll witness many more miracles, a stumble in faith, and the transformation of some unlikely people — all while exploring the mystery of why we follow Jesus. Even if you weren’t part of our group last year, join us for this fun and interactive study.
This year we will be looking at how religion and faith appear across our popular media, particularly film. We will be beginning with watching Star Wars: A New Hope, and talking about its themes and how they apply to the Christian life. This class will begin at 6:15pm, following dinner at 5:30pm. This start time is 15 minutes earlier than our previous start time and is to ensure we have enough time for fellowship and our discussion,
This Semester for Wednesday Night Grow, GSUMC Kids will be looking at all 66 books of the Bible. They will learn about and be able to name all 66 books through the use of mnemonic devices and songs.
